Starting in Enshrouded, you don't have any good weapons to deal heavy damage to enemies. But, this doesn't necessarily mean that you can't get your hands on good weapons early on, as a beginner. Here in this guide, we will be sharing with you details on the Best Early Weapon in Enshrouded, which you can also upgrade and make your early game effortless to progress.
The best early weapon in Enshrouded is the Wolf’s Maw, a melee sword that comes with a base 25 level, dealing 47 damage per hit. Yes, it is not so impressive for the late game, but in the early beginnings, this weapon can be equipped on lower-level characters, while it deals a massive 47 damage.
When you use it further and progress in the game, you can upgrade your Wolf’s Maw Best Early Weapon in Enshrouded, making it stronger as you climb the progression ladder.
Before we get started with the Best Early Weapon in Enshrouded, you have to unlock the Pikemead’s Reach, which is an essential location for all the early game Armor Sets and Weapons.
Note: In case you have unlocked it, then you can proceed onwards with the guide, but if you haven’t give the guide a read below.
So, you start with the Cinder Vault, as your beginning location, you can head from the broken Braelyn Bridge, and onto the Ancient Spire - Springlands Fast Travel Point.
From that location, you have to get to the Ancient Spire - Springlands Fast Travel Location. To do that, you have to glide directly from the Springlands to the Ancient Vault - Farmer.
When you reach Ancient Vault, you can travel from the bridge area towards the Carpentry Camp, and dropping off the cliff at this location, you can reach the Ancient Spire Revelwood Fast Travel.
The final step would be to travel northeast from the Revelwood, and you will reach the Pikemead’s Reach.
The best part is that when you look directly northeast, standing on top of the Fast Travel location, you can see Pikemead’s Reach - a city location. This is an easy glide journey that you can take to make your way towards the location.
Our recommendation would be to go right from here and reach the end of the cliff, from where you have to run towards the destination of Fawnsong Frontier, a bandit camp.
Continue following the edge of the cliff, and you will reach a corner, an extra left towards your left that sticks out. This can help you reach the Northern Caravan Camp.
Look directly towards the north side, and you will find The Pike closer to you, which is effortlessly accessible from this location.
Gliding and running through the shroud, you will eventually reach The Pike. Place a Flame Altar that allows you to fast travel to this location, and respawn here as well.
From the Flame Altar, you can reach the entrance to the Pikemeads Reach. There is also a checkpoint towards the left side of the entrance.
Don’t go inside, rather head towards the right side of the entrance, outside it. Eventually, you will find a broken wall, with rubble on the ground.
Climb up and go right, traveling on top of the wall, and you will reach the inside of the tower. Climb upwards inside the tower, and you will find a chest. This is where you will get Guard of the North Boots in a golden chest.
You can stand on the corner, and a wooden surface will be visible, outside the shroud.
Jump on that wooden surface from there, and climb up the ladder on Shanty Shacks. Make sure you are on the top, and from the ledge jump towards your right side, dropping off on another building’s top.
On a corpse, you will find a Sword’s Handle sticking out. Pick it up, and you will get the Wolf’s Maw - Best Early Weapon in Enshrouded.
It’s only a myth that beginner players can’t get exceptionally good gear early on in Enshrouded. The Best Early Weapon to get in Enshrouded is no doubt Wolf’s Maw Melee Weapon. The Wolf’s Maw Melee Weapon can be found in Pikemead’s Reach. This guide covers how to unlock the Pikemead’s Reach, and how to get the Best Early Weapon in Enshrouded - Wolf’s Maw Melee Weapon.
